Dhana J. Stevens, 500 RYT
METHOD
I teach thoughtful vinyasa flow sequences that build through music and are followed by restorative poses to cultivate mindfulness and self-compassion on the yoga mat and in daily life. Along with a sense of humor, I offer individualized modifications and hands-on adjustments to create a balanced and energized practice in every class.
BACKGROUND
As a professional dancer and choreographer, with a degree in Psychology, I’ve long been in tune with the power of the mind/body connection. After retiring to raise my family, a sudden life-altering event inspired me to return to teaching and embrace the healing, redemptive power of yoga.
TRAINING
Mentored by Lainie Devina and Jennifer Elliott, I received my 500 hour RYT certification from YogaWorks. I credit my very first yoga teacher, Drorit Rudin, for inspiring me to follow this path and I was honored to return home to teach at Agoura Power of Yoga.
PHILOSOPHY
I want to share what has made my life profoundly better. I love to create a safe space where my students can open their hearts, embrace themselves, let go and live in the moment.

First-timers looking for a safe, comfortable introduction to yoga;
Families introducing their children to yoga;
Friends wanting to create a practice together;
Seniors embracing time with their bodies again;
Athletes desiring a balanced approach to their workouts;
Those wanting an intensely physical, vigorously paced class;
And anyone needing a gentle, restorative session dedicated to relieving the body and calming the mind.
